On land, we can rely on gravity, familiar posing, easy communication, and predictable movement.

Underwater?

Everything changes.

Hair floats.

The goal wasn’t simply to photograph someone wearing a mermaid tail.

It was to create the feeling that we had actually discovered a mermaid beneath the surface.

Her flowing hair, costume, movement, underwater posing, and the natural patterns of light across the pool all became part of the composition.
