Amy Schenk Photography is an insured, LLC and has been in business since 2008.
As a full-time photographer, my time is dedicated to serving you. I do not have any other 9-5 job. I continue to educate myself in the craft of photography yearly to keep up with the fast changes technology brings. Because I love being able to bring new fresh ideas and techniques to my clients. I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop. My advance skills help to elevate your images to the next level. While I am primarily a laid back individual, I love to get creative and have fun with my clients while providing them with an experience to remember.
I love color. I love imagery that will not only look great on the internet, but will print well. I love imagery that will stand the test of time and surpass any trendy "styles". Bold - Vibrant - Timeless
I aim for perfect exposure when photographing. I refrain from overexposing known as "bright & airy". Blown out highlights & details in images need to be seen, such as the details on a wedding dress. I rarely underexpose, because while dark and moody images may look well on the internet, they do not print well. That's why my style is "True to Color".
To keep overhead low, I photograph in my in-home studio or outdoors to better serve our clients and to help keep pricing low. We a offer in-house newborn, milestone, cake smashes, maternity, and small family sessions, come rain or shine.
In addition, Amy Schenk Photography will continue to utilize other studio rental spaces across the DFW metroplex to offer variety and to fit individual client needs.
Absolutely! As a legal & Legit LLC business, it is our duty to not only carry equipment insurance, but also a general liability insurance policy. For weddings, please have your venue reach out should they require a copy of our COI.
To help keep creative session fees low, we do not provide this service, but have seasoned professional hair & makeup artists to refer you to. While Amy Schenk Photography encourages every client to consider professional hair & makeup, it is also understandable that many clients are self-taught & highly talented to do their own, and other's may simply be on a tight budget.
Booking is easy. After our initial consult, and when you have decided to book, you will receive a client portal, an agreement, and invoice. Once the agreement is signed and invoice paid, you will be officially on Amy's calendar.
Your image proofing reveal is scheduled on the day of your session and typically occur 7 to 14 days after your session has occurred.
Images reveals can be done in-person or over zoom.
Images viewed at your image reveal will have our standard editing completed: Lighting Adjustments, Cropping & Color Balance.
At your image reveal, you will select the images you would like to fulfill your package with, and those are the images that will be fully edited.
Part of our service to our clients is to offer the best images without duplication. We believe in producing quality images over delivering quantity. Your portrait proofing gallery will typically yield between 15-35 images for you to choose from.
Final edited images are delivered between 7-14 days after you have selected the images from your proofing gallery.
Final art ordered will be delivered no longer than 8 weeks from the date the order is placed.
As consumers, we do not enter a restaurant & order raw steaks to take home to cook ourselves. We enter to indulge in the restaurant's atmosphere, unique flavors, & the chef's artistry in cooking our steaks to perfection. We enter to experience service that we would not otherwise get by dining at home. Therefore, under no circumstances does Amy Schenk Photography provide the raw copyrighted files from any portrait session, events, or weddings that are captured. Please do not ask for them or offer to buy them. They are not for sale.
